Description, analysis and automatic processing of natural languages
The research line "Description, analysis and automatic processing of natural languages" aims at exploring linguistic knowledge as a fundamental basis for the description and analysis of natural languages at their different levels (phonological, morphological, syntactic, semantic and pragmatic-discursive), as well as for the construction of linguistic-computational resources for their automatic processing.
Language Teaching and Learning
The objective of this research line is the investigation of aspects and variables of language teaching/learning processes, from a broad view of language issues that enables studies to be conducted from transdisciplinary perspectives.
Language and Discourse
Reflections on discourse are guided by historical, political and social studies of language. The following aspects are privileged: genres, historical semantics of enunciation and relations between discourse and history.
