The Program

1.1 – Organization

The Postgraduate Program in Linguistics at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFScar) has a participative management with professors and postgraduate students and is organized into an executive coordination and a deliberative council governed by program regulations.

1.2 – Courses and Newcomers

The Postgraduate Program in Linguistics (PGPL) offers degrees at the Master and Doctorate levels that are organized along three lines of research:

- Description, analysis and automatic processing of natural languages;

- Language teaching and learning;

- Language and discourse.

1.3. There are two ways for admission of newcomers:

1.3.1. Public Selection: admission of newcomers takes place once a year through a public selection divided into three stages:

- Analysis of the research project;

- Analysis of curriculum vitae score;

- Interview.

The subscriptions happens in March and April and the results are published in the July of each year. For further information, please write to us.

1.3.2. Getting scholarship founding: If one student got a scholarship from a funding agency, they can request the admission. There are national and international agencies, below you can see some of them:
